I hope you enjoy viewing my artwork.  Thank you!

Painting has also been a great passion for me.  Travels within California to Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake, Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, as well as to Hawaii, Oregon, New York and China, have provided inspiration for my acrylic and watercolor paintings.  These works capture and evoke dynamic forces in nature.

After graduating in 1975 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking from the State University of New York at New Paltz, I continued working in intaglio etchings.  In many of my prints, I utilize the color viscosity process on cut plates to achieve color separations with only one pass of a zinc plate through the press.  Sometimes a work may consist of only one cut-plate shape while other works may have two or more cut-plate shapes to create dynamic tensions.

I have always had a love for photography.  Whether working in color or black-and-white photography, I have documented public events and captured moments in time of landscapes, cityscapes, family, friends and people.  My most recent photographs include images of waterscapes and nature.

My paintings and intaglio prints are abstract with much of the imagery inspired by landscapes.  My style allows me to creatively convey my feelings and ideas with spontaneity and boldness through color, line, shape and texture.  These elements come together to express atmosphere, movement and spatial relationships.
